LINCOLN BOYS CHOIR TO HOLD WAFFLEMAN BREAKFAST AND FUNDRAISING AUCTION OCT 20
LINCOLN, NE - October 7, 2018- The Lincoln Boys Choir will perform at their Waffleman breakfast and fundraising auction on Saturday, October 20, 2018

The event will be held from 8 a.m. to 11 a.m. at the Sesostris Shrine Center 1050 Saltillo Road, Roca, Nebraska.

The online and live auction features a football autographed by Coach Scott Frost and a five-night stay at a Colorado luxury retreat. A variety of other auction items will be offered online prior to the breakfast at 32 auctions.com and as silent and live auction items during the breakfast. Online bidding begins Oct. 4.

The Lincoln Boys Choir is comprised of three choirs of more than 100 boys, ages 8-18, selected by audition to perform in one of three groups: the Cantare and Chorale, both under the direction of Burton Schernikau and accompanied by Karen Karr Ammons. Or, Concert, under the direction of Kevin Scheele and accompanied by Julie Schumacher.

LINCOLN BOYS CHOIR TO PERFORM SPRING MELODIES CONCERT MAY 12
LINCOLN, NE - April 28, 2017- Hear the Lincoln Boys Choir salute the armed forces with a patriotic melody as well as singing a variety of light classical, foreign language and folk music. Choir alumni will be invited onstage to sing with the combined choirs during the choir's traditional final song "River of Judea."

The concert will be held at 7 p.m. on Friday, May 12 in O'Donnell Auditorium at the Vance D. Rodgers Center for Fine Arts, Nebraska Wesleyan University, 50th and Huntington Streets.

The Lincoln Boys Choir organization comprised of three choirs of more than 100 boys, ages 8-18, selected by audition to perform in one of three groups: the Cantare and Chorale, both under the direction of Burton Schernikau and accompanied by Karen Karr Ammons. Or, the Concert Choir, under the direction of Kevin Scheele and accompanied by Julie Schumacher.

The choirs have performed with the University of Nebraska Men's Choir, Nebraska Wesleyan University Choir, and Lincoln's Symphony Orchestra. They have been featured on public television and during the National Orff and Kodaly Convention, the Nebraska Music Educators Association conference the Nebraska Choral Directors Association conference, the Nebraska governor's inauguration, and many other community events. The choirs have also received superior ratings and sweepstakes awards in competitions. Touring has included: Kansas City, New York City, Chicago, Austria, Ireland, Czech Republic, and Italy where they sang at the Vatican. The choirs will tour Spain in June 2018.

In 2014, the Lincoln Boys Choir received the Richard Hay Arts Organization Award selected by the mayor of Lincoln and the Lincoln Arts Council. The award recognizes an arts group that has made significant contributions to Lincoln's arts community over a period of years.

LINCOLN BOYS CHOIR TO PERFORM WINTER REFLECTIONS CONCERT ON DECEMBER 18
LINCOLN, NE - November 28, 2016 - The Lincoln Boys Choir will present seasonal music at its most popular concert of the year. Traditional and contemporary carols will be featured.

The "Winter Reflections" concert will be held at 5 p.m. on Sunday, December 18, 2016, at Saint Paul United Methodist Church at 11th and M Streets in Lincoln.

Nebraska Wesleyan Children's Choir Camp – June 12-17, 2016

In this one-week camp, talented young singers will have the opportunity to improve their vocal and musical skills, meet other student musicians, and work with Elaine Quilichini, director of the Calgary Girls Choir and the Kodaly faculty.
